50 PCG personnel donate blood for children battling cancer


In a bid to save as many children's lives, at least 50 personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Cavite have donated blood for the young patients battling cancer.

The PCG personnel participated in the bloodletting activity held at the Rosario Elementary School in Rosario, Cavite on Friday, Aug. 6.

The Coast Guard said the initiative was in response to the rising demand for blood in the country, particularly in the Philippine Children's Hospital caters to young patients battling cancer.

Last June, PCG personnel have also donated blood to help patients in need of blood transfusion amid coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
