The DSWD has acquired two new service buses to ease the plight of its commuting employees.

DSWD Secretary Rolando Joselito D. Bautista graced the blessing of the agency’s new service buses which will be used by Central Office personnel “to lessen their transportation woes because of the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) health crisis.”

“This is part of the DSWD’s efforts to ensure the welfare of employees who are required to report to work amid the pandemic,” the DSWD said in a statement.

“Aside from the new service buses, the Department will also provide overnight accommodation to Central Office employees during the enhanced community quarantine period in Metro Manila,” it added.

The DSWD said it is committed to look after the welfare and safeguard the well-being of its employees who are vital in the delivery of social welfare services to the public amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
