In love with Korea? Share your stories and you may just win special prizes

The Korean Embassy wants to know your story!

It is an understatement to say that Filipinos are mad about Korean culture. Hallyu has been a part of our daily lives from our entertainment choices—non-spot streaming of Korean drama and bopping to the sound of K-pop—to our very lifestyle, there's even samgyeopsal and the 12 steps Korean skincare routine.

If you're loving every bit of it, here's your chance to share your story and end up winning special prizes by doing so. In celebration of Korean National Foundation Day, the Korean Embassy in the Philippines is launching an essay and photo contest and it is inviting everyone to share their stories related to or inspired by South Korea.

It can be anything. Think of your past trip to Seoul, that time you wore a hanbok pretending to be a character from one of your favorite Korean historical drama or your mukbang experience locally. As long as it reflects Korean culture, you can submit it.

The competition is open to all Filipinos. Each entry must have an essay with a maximum of 500 words and include up to five photos. Entries must be sent to this link before Aug. 31, 2021.

On Sept. 8, 2021, the top five stories will be announced with each of the finalists will get electronic gadgets such as wireless earphones, e-watch, and a tablet.

Get inspired and write. Good luck!
