What awaits Metro Manila as it enters the next 20 days of stricter quarantine restrictions?

The Philippine National Police (PNP) said heavy traffic was already being observed at the borders of the National Capital Region (NCR) and its adjacent provinces on August 1, even as the Catholic church called out to the faithful to help those who would be in need during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) which will take effect from August 6 to August 20.

Meanwhile, yet another Filipino boxer assured the country of another medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics when Eumir Marcial stopped his Armenian foe in the first round of their middleweight bout Sunday morning. Marcial’s win assures him of at least a bronze medal, and the country’s third medal in the Games.
