TNT puts its unblemished slate at stake against Phoenix while Rain or Shine seeks to end its skid at the expense Terrafirma as the PBA tweaked the schedule of the 2021 Philippine Cup on Sunday, August 1 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Tropang Giga (2-0) take on the Fuel Masters (1-3) at 4:35 p.m. after the Elasto Painters (3-2) try to arrest their two-game losing slide against the winless Dyip (0-3) at 2 p.m.

The game pitting the streaking San Miguel (3-1) and defending champion Barangay Ginebra (2-2), initially scheduled at 4:35 p.m., was postponed due to health and safety protocols.

Phoenix returns to action after its match against Blackwater on Saturday got moved to a later date for the same reason.

TNT never skipped a beat despite coming off a 13-day layoff due to COVID-19 scare, posting an 89-79 triumph over RoS behind its solid defense just two days ago.

Returning head coach Chot Reyes hopes his wards could get their offensive fluidity back with the quick turnaround of schedule.

"We all just have to stay patient and like I say continue building. Unfortunately, we have another game in two days so we'll see what we can do in practice," said Reyes.

The Tropang Giga indeed have to quickly adapt as they are up against the Fuel Masters, who are bent on bouncing back from a 91-80 defeat to the Meralco Bolts on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, RoS aims to regain its fiery form at the onset of the import-less conference.

The Elasto Painters got off to a three-win start but went misfiring in their past two outings, resulting in a horrendous 74-48 loss to the Alaska Aces last Wednesday followed by a setback to the Tropang Giga.

However, Terrafirma is equally eager to grab its breakthrough victory after a fairly impressive showing against unbeaten leader Magnolia on Friday.

The Dyip managed to trim a 21-point halftime deficit down to just eight points late in the third quarter only to witness the Hotshots explode behind rookie Jerrick Ahanmisi in the final frame en route to a 105-83 romp.
