Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced that the city government allotted P600-million for the allowance of elementary students who are starting school on September 13.
Olivarez said the office of Vice-Mayor Rico Golez and the City Council made the allocation for the allowance of elementary students as part of the city government’s education comprehensive plan that started in 2013.
He said around 110,000 elementary students from kinder to Grade 6 will start receiving their P500 monthly allowance.
The mayor said the city has 13,000 pre-school students enrolled at the 141 child learning development centers located in 16 barangays in the city.
