Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos' YouTube channel is your new binge-worthy food content

Drive and dine with the 'Front-Seat Foodies'

Going out on a date for lovers feels like a lifetime ago. Due to the continuous threat of the pandemic, dining out is becoming pretty hard and less romantic with all the physical distancing, safety measures, and the protective gears in the way. But with the rise of to-go meals, drive-thru, and store pick-ups, there is a new way for couples to still have the date and munch good food outside, well, sort of.

Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos

That's what real-life couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos are doing in their newly launched YouTube channel dubbed "Front-Seat Foodies." Think of it as a combination of mukbang and carpool karaoke, "Front-Seat Foodies" presents the couple on the road as they discover the newest and best food spots in the Philippines. The channel is a passion project that they have started out of their love for food.

"Gabbi and I have been working on this for almost a year now," Khalil says. " super happy to finally say that we've officially launched 'Front-Seat Foodies.'"

"Basically, we are in the car going around Metro Manila and other places to look for the best food," Gabbi adds. "It is just us, we are going to eat here in the car, we are going to have take-out or pick up the food... and share our whole experience with you."

So far the two foodies have featured their favorite eats. They started their gastronomic road trip at the Goto Monster in Makati City, a restaurant that serves "comfort food at its peak" as they described. Who can blame them? Its goto bagnet, chicharon, and fresh spring rolls look like they're packing some serious flavor monstrosity. In their latest episode, Khalil and Gabbi drive off to the home of award-winning burgers, Sweet Ecstasy. There the two ordered all the burgers in the menu, making one juicy meat feast of an episode.

With good food and a catchy jingle, their channel now has a growing community of more than 30,000 subscribers and we can't wait to see where they'll be driving and what they're eating next.

"Front-Seat Foodies" releases a new episode every Friday at 6 p.m.
