No tsunami threat after 6.7-magnitude quake -- Phivolcs

There is no threat of a tsunami hitting any part of the Philippines after a 6.7-magnitude earthquake in Calatagan, Batangas early Saturday morning, July 24, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

"No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data," Phivolcs said.

The 6.7-magnitude quake was traced at 116 kilometers southwest of Calatagan, Batangas at 4:49 a.m.
