Miss World Philippines moves coronation night

In compliance with the reimposition of the Inter-Agency Task Force's heightened General Community Quarantine restrictions, the Miss World Philippines Organization is rescheduling the forthcoming Miss World Philippines coronation night.

They announced the change of schedule via social media.

Note that it was originally scheduled this coming Sunday, July 25, at Okada Manila.

It will now happen on Aug. 8, same venue.

"ANNOUNCEMENT: Miss World Philippines 2021 is postponed in compliance with the new IATF guidelines given today. Stay safe and we’ll see you all on the 8th of August," they wrote on July 23.

Recall that Malacañang approved recommendations to bring back the National Capital Region (NCR) under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions and changed the quarantine classifications of other areas.

Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque made the statement following the declaration of the Department of Health (DOH) of the local transmission of the more contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) this week.
