“It doesn’t get more iconic than this,” loungewear brand Skims posted on Instagram as it announced its newest face, ’90s supermodel Kate Moss.
“Kate is the fashion icon,” Skims founder Kim Kardashian says in a story by British Vogue. “She has a timeless influence that continues to define whole generations of culture and style.”
According to the reality TV star, she first met the supermodel in 2014 through Burberry’s Riccardo Tisci saying she was “instantly struck by her cheeky humor, authentic, and classic beauty.”
Skims’ latest campaign, photographed by Donna Trope, features Kate in her bare beauty wearing the brand’s signature pieces such as the cotton rib plunge bralette, brief, and legging, all in neutral shades. Established in 2018, Skims has been a closet staple for many due to its “comfortable, versatile” intimate and shapewear pieces that look good whether layered with other garments or just on their own.
“I’ve been a fan of Skims since Day One,” Kate tells WWD. “What Kim is doing with the brand is so fresh and modern, making underwear women actually want and that fits perfectly. I wear it, my daughter wears it—even my mum wears it.”
