Mandaluyong LGU changes vaccination venues amid heavy rains


The Mandaluyong City local government was forced to shift venues for vaccination on Wednesday, July 21, as Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon continue to be battered by heavy downpour brought about by the southwest monsoon and enhanced by Typhoon “Fabian.”

"Dahil po sa patuloy na pag-ulan, nagkaroon po ng paglilipat ng venue ng pagbabakuna ng second dose para sa araw na ito, Hulyo 21, 2021 (Due to the continuous rain, there has been a change of venue for the second dose vaccination for today, July 21, 2021)," the LGU said in a Facebook post.

"Ang mga nakaiskedyul bakunahan sa MCMC Mega Vaccination Site 1 (Ang mga nabakunahan ng first dose ng Sinovac noong Hunyo23) ay sa Forum Robinsons Mega Vaccination Site, Level 3, Forum Robinsons (9:00 AM-5:00 PM) ang venue (For those scheduled to be vaccinated at the MCMC Mega Vaccination Site 1 (those vaccinated with Sinovac for their first dose last June 23), the new venue for their second dose vaccination will be at the Forum Robinsons Mega Vaccination Site, Level 3 (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)," it added.

Ang mga nakaiskedyul bakunahan naman sa MCMC Mega Vaccination Site 2 (For those who were given the first dose of AstraZeneca noong MAYO 12) ay sa SM Mergamall Mega Vaccination Center Megatrade Hall 1-3, 5L Mega B ( 9:00 AM-5:00 PM ) ang venue (For those scheduled to be vaccinated at the MCMC Mega Vaccination Site 2 (those vaccinated with AstraZeneca for their first dose last May 12), the new venue for their second dose vaccination will be at the SM Megamall Mega Vaccination Center, Megatrade Hall 1-3, 5L Mega B (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)," the LGU said.

The LGU reminded its citizens to bring their valid IDs and vaccination card before proceeding to the new sites for vaccination.

At 9:14 a.m. July 21, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) placed Metro Manila under the orange rainfall warning.

Areas under the orange rainfall warning are expected to experience intense rainfall of 15 mm and 30 mm within one hour and flooding.
