Have you seen Netflix's latest movie "My Amanda"? If not, it's okay. There are no spoilers here. But it is best if you see it first. For those who have seen it, we hope that your eyes are now dry and your emotions are calm.

"My Amanda" has such a universal take on love that it is hard not to find yourself in it. Now, if you're like Fream who is always at loss in love or Fuffy whose emotions are locked with a golden key, fret not, hopeless romantics, as we've consulted the people behind the characters, actors Piolo Pascual and Alessandra De Rossi, for a much-needed heart-to-heart session that will help you whisk your love blues away.

What love advice would you give to your character?

Piolo: Wag tatanga-tanga (Don't be foolish). Don't fall too soon. Make sure you know the person first. It is easy for us to fall in love but, the thing is, nowadays, it is just everywhere. It is so easy to be with somebody. You have got to treasure that. You have got to make sure you make the right decisions. It is not always right but enjoy it and savor it. And don't rush into anything.

Alessandra: You can be tatanga-tanga basta may sasalo sa iyo (foolish as long as there is someone who will catch you). 'Yun naman yung sinabi ni Fream, "na sasaluhin mo naman ako pag nadapa ako, 'di ba?" (That's what Fream said, "that you'll catch me when I fall, right?"). So, I can be tanga. I have the license because I know, at the end, when I feel broken, somebody will be there.

For Alessandra, as the writer and director of the film, what is the message you want people to get after watching it?

Alessandra: Love. Don't be afraid to love. Don't be afraid to make friends. Don't be afraid of the journey. You'll never know what you will find and how far you are willing to go for a friendship—for a friend.

Piolo: That's why we never became lovers.

Alessandra: I don't even like you.

Piolo: You love me.

"My Amanda" is now streaming on Netflix.
