Rigodon! BIR reshuffles officials based on 'confidential info'


The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has reshuffled 14 mid-level executives as part of it's continuing efforts to further enhance the tax collection drive.

Informed sources said BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay has been conducting periodic personnel changes based on performance and "confidential information" received about quality of service rendered by district offices to taxpayers.

Given new assignments were Revenue District Officers (RDOs) Benjamin V. Cruz from San Jose, Occidental Mindoro to technical assistant of Cavite-Batangas-Mindoro-Romblon (CaBaMiRo) regional director; Socrates O. Regala, from Bacolod City to the office of Laguna-Quezon-Marinduque (LaQueMar) regional director; Elizabeth C. Soriano, from Romblon to San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; and Romana Marrieta I. Belen, from Marinduque to Romblon.

Also transferred were Renan A. Plata, from Victorias, Negros Occidental to Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga; Gerardo Utanes, fro Clark Freeport to Paco-Pandacan-Sta. Ana; and Ma. Bernadette B. Mangaoang from Panique, Tarlac to Urdaneta, Pangasinan

Also moved were Assistant RDO Madonna F. Halili from Paranaque to RDO of Panique Tarlac; Assistant RDO Rommel T. Tolentino from Calamba City to RDO Victorias, Negros Occidental; and Regional Technical Assistant Ma. Victoria G. Reinante from San Fernando, Pampanga region to East National Capital Region (NCR).

Also taking new posts were Nina Diana U. Federizo, from assistant collection enforcement chief to assistant RDO of East Bulacan; and Paco-Pandacan-Sta. Ana Assistant RDO Nilda C. Zamudio to Paranaque City.
