A 50-year-old man died in a fire that hit a residential area in Ermita, Manila before dawn Friday.
Authorities identified the victim as Jose Nonie Gregorio.
The fire started in a two-storey residential structure located at 443 Arquiza St.,Brgy 667 Ermita, Manila at 1:04 a.m.
The blaze reached the second alarm at 1:25 a.m. and was declared under control at 2:14 a.m.
The fire was extinguished at 3:06 a.m.
Damage to properties was estimated at P60,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
