Security Bank named best retail lender

Security Bank Corporation has been named by Alpha Southeast Asia, one of the leading financial capital markets magazines in the region, as the Best Retail Bank in the Philippines for 2021.

Cited as the most comprehensive awards program in banking and finance focused on Southeast Asia, the Financial Institution Awards has bestowed the contested Best Retail Bank in the Philippines title to Security Bank for the third time over the last four years.

Alpha Southeast Asia attributed this to Security Bank’s “unique commitment in helping develop retail banking in the Philippines.” The publication emphasized that retail banking plays a crucial role in the development of the Philippine economy.

Alpha Southeast Asia’s Financial Institution Awards has continued to assess the credentials and track record of financial institutions across the Southeast Asian region.

“We thank our clients for their continued trust in Security Bank throughout the years. This recognition from Alpha Southeast Asia is validation of our commitment to deliver a differentiated BetterBanking experience to all our customers,” said Security Bank Executive Vice President Retail Banking Head Maki Tingson.

With a more customer-centric approach to service delivery, among Security Bank’s strong areas of focus is the transformation of its digital channels for Retail and Wholesale clients, and Contact Center, both voice and non-voice.

The Bank has made and continues to make significant investments in technology, risk management, and talent to simplify and personalize the customer journey.

“As we enter the new normal, we will continue to provide personalized solutions using an omni-channel engagement model to make banking more convenient for our customers. We’re continuously improving our products and services to address evolving needs and to make their banking experiences more seamless,” said Tingson.

Established in 2007, Alpha Southeast Asia is the first and only institutional investment magazine focused on Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam). This year, the awards period covered deals and transaction volumes from June 2020 to May 2021.
