The easterlies and intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will be the dominant weather systems that will affect the country's weather in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, July 11.

PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Catanduanes.

Those in these areas were advised to take precautions against possible flash floods or landslides as rains may become moderate to at times heavy.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have "fair" weather due to partly cloudy to cloudy conditions but may still experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon or evening.

PAGASA still advised the public to remain vigilant against flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Severe thunderstorms are often associated with bursts of heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and gusty winds that usually last up to two hours.
