“The AMERIAL project of the DOST-MIRDC will reach out to more MSMEs in the Cordillera Administrative Region through the establishment of the KSU-Local AMERIAL Team,” DOST Secretary Fortunato “Boy” T. de la Peña said during his weekly report on Friday, July 9.

He said the MOA for the KSU-Local AMERIAL Team was signed by DOST-CAR Regional Director, Dr. Nancy A. Bantog; KSU President Eduardo Batang; and DOST-MIRDC Executive Director and AMERIAL Project Leader Engr. Robert O. Dizon during a virtual meeting held on July 5.

“The AMERIAL is a facility that aims to support local players in the metals and engineering industries, particularly in technological advancement, workforce improvement, and competitiveness enhancement through optimizing mechatronics, robotics, and industrial automation technologies,” the DOST chief said.

The DOST-MIRDC launched and inaugurated the AMERIAL on June 16.
