Another suspected illegal drugs dealer has been arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in a buy-bust operation in Naga City.

In a statement, the NBI identified the arrested person as Ivy H. Aguilar from whom 27 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, as well as pieces of paraphernalia were confiscated.

Last July 8, the NBI also announced the arrest of Jesty Estefanio in Iligan City. During a buy-bust operation, the NBI seized “one large size heat-sealed plastic sachet containing shabu weighing seven (7) grams with an estimated value of Php 47,600.”

Like Estefanio, Aguilar was charged with violations of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The NBI said Aguilar was subjected to a drug test and her urine specimen showed presence of shabu.

It said “information received by the NBI regarding a certain ‘Ivy’ who was allegedly involved in selling, distribution, and trading of dangerous drugs particularly shabu in Naga City” led to Aguilar’s arrest.

It also said that based “on the information, Subject ‘Ivy’ carries out her modus operandi by selling, trading, and distributing shabu to customers inside a rented room… on Magsaysay Avenue, Balatas, Naga City.”
