There are three types and it involves Neo-Nazis
“In Malaysia, there are three types of skinheads. SHARP skins, the traditional, and Nazis.” This is a line by the fiercely anti-fascist 14-year-old member of Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice, a subculture that stemmed out from its founding in New York back in the 1980s
The film “Disciples,” directed by Jess Kohl (the same director for “Anarchy In The Philippines”), revolves around the tense relations between SHARP and the Malay Power, which comprises of far-right nationalists.
Following the film is an event called Malaysia Skinhead Annual Dinner Festival, an annual event that welcomes everyone amidst their different ideologies.
