‘Demon Slayer’ teases an upcoming second season

Those familiar with the manga know how this one’s gonna be good

After a successful first season and a follow-up film that was equally well-received, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is finally having a second season. Over the weekend, at the Anime Expo, Aniplex released a teaser for this upcoming season.

The teaser features a new mission set in the Yoshiwara Entertainment District, which was described as a place “awash in vanity and desire of men and women, a town of night swirling with love and hate.” While those who read the manga of “Demon Slayer” are familiar with the story of this Entertainment District Arc, which follow the events of the film “Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train,” there is yet to be an official plot reveal for season two of the anime.

Here’s what we do know and can say though, based on the events in the manga. Series protagonist Tanjiro Kamado and his friends are called to investigate a city’s red light district for reports of demon activity. And, as revealed in the trailer, demon slayer hashira Tengen Uzui will be playing a major role in the events of season two.
