Three PBA teams have moved to different practice facilities in Batangas due to the recent activities of Taal Volcano.

A story posted on the PBA website said that Magnolia, Phoenix and Blackwater were forced to relocate over concerns of “the gases and particles emitted by the restive volcano.”

Magnolia and Phoenix switched from the gymnasium of STI Lipa which is located on the eighth floor of the campus to Batangas State University and Malarayat Golf and Country Club, respectively.

Blackwater moved to Summit Point Country Club in Lipa from Splendido in Laurel which is in close proximity to the volcano.

Other teams that are in Batangas have opted to remain in their practice locations which they have been using since PBA teams were permitted to hold full training sessions in areas under the normal General Community Quarantine regulations.

Barangay Ginebra, San Miguel Beer and Alaska are among the teams training in Lipa while Terrafirma and NorthPort hold their sessions in Batangas City.

TNT and Meralco have also started training in Batangas City following a second two-week training bubble in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

PBA ballclubs continue to hold practices while the league tries to convince the Inter-Agency Task Force to allow the 46th season to start later this month under a closed-circuit concept inside NCR Plus.
