The Caloocan City government has approved a resolution encouraging business establishments to give discounts to individuals who are fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Resolution No. 11-570 series of 2021 was proposed by Councilor Orvince Howard Hernandez, Councilor Ryan Malapitan and Majority Leader Edgardo Aruelo.

All local businesses are encouraged to give discounts on their products and services to individuals who are already fully vaccinated.

Hernandez clarified that the local government will not oblige business establishments to give a fixed discount but will encourage them to do their own gimmicks.

He said this is also an opportunity for business owners to oblige their workers to get vaccinated, especially those who are considered essential workers.
