DAVAO CITY – The newly-installed station commander of the Coast Guard – Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos), Lieutenant Junior Grade (LTJG) Christian Bryan Ignacio, went viral on social media for being the youngest coast guard official.
While Ignacio initially got the attention of netizens because of his cool looks, it cannot be denied that this stunner is truly an achiever.
The 32-year-old coast guard formally assumed his duties and responsibilities as commander of the Coast Guard Station in Igacos in replacement to Lt. Macy A. Gabion, who had properly relinquished his duties and responsibilities last June 30.
“My previous assignment has a common geographical set-up [here], we could implement our best practices from Guimaras Island to Igacos, and continue the remarkable efforts of the CGS-IGACOS,” Ignacio said during the turn-over ceremony.
As Ignacio seemed focused on his upcoming task, thousands could not help but notice his good looks based on the thousands of adoring comments and likes åon social media.
“Hi sherr, gusto kag single mom? (Hi sir, do you like a single mom),” commented a seemingly fascinated lady.
The coast guard station in Igacos is the frontline in the safety and security, marine environmental protection, and search and rescue capabilities in the island, according to the Coast Guard District Southern Mindanao’s official Facebook page.
The CGS-IGACOS is also one with the local government unit in the implementation of the health protocols in its busy ports. The coast guard stations in Davao and Igacos play a significant role in keeping the coastal areas in Davao region safe.
