Pasay LGU distributes food packs to 44 COVID-19 patients


The Pasay City government distributed food packs to 44 active coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients coming from different barangays in the city on Saturday.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government continued to distribute food packs to residents infected with the virus since the start of the pandemic.

Rubiano said the food packs contains one pack of frozen chicken, three kilos of rice, fruits, vegetables, and ready to eat food.

She added the distribution of food packs was being done weekly to ensure the immediate recovery of infected residents.

The mayor also appealed to the residents for their full cooperation to control the spread of the disease in the city.

The City Health Office (CHO) recorded on June 3 a total of 52 active and 12 new cases of COVID-19.

The city government also said a total of 168 out of 201 barangays in the city are free from the virus.
