A suspected bomber tagged in the massacre of fishermen in Zamboanga City was arrested by authorities during a police operation in Sitio Palo Palo, Barangay Muti last Tuesday.
The suspect, 52-year-old Issung Hapii, was arrested by combined police units for frustrated murder. The court has recommended a P200,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
Hapii was tagged as one of the suspects in the twin bombings on the roadside of Marangan, Muti in June 2016.
He is also a suspect in the massacre of eight fishermen off Siromon Island, Zamboanga City in 2017.
Hapii was identified by authorities as a member of the Marzan Ajijul Group under criminal syndicate leaders Jamalul Nasalon and Abu Harris.
