Fully-loaded with the features that matter

There’s no questioning the versatility a pickup offers, whether for the every day commute, long drives, or for small businesses. Yet many car buyers are still wary of some of its stereotypical traits such as being hard to park, returning a rough ride, or being too rugged for the city.

Nissan Philippines hopes to change all that with the new Nissan Navara VE, a pickup truck that addresses many of the usual issues, making it any easy, comfortable, and worthwhile choice for daily use.

Restyled for 2021

The new Nissan Navara VE is not your average pickup. This fully-loaded variant comes packed with many best-in-class technologies, including an array of Nissan Intelligent Mobility features and safety systems, most of which are also fitted in the top-of-the-line Pro 4X. Unlike its competitors that save the best features for the top-of-the-line trim, these features make the VE one of the most worthwhile Navara variants yet.

The new Navara VE is distinct even from afar. The VE variant boasts of a more gentrified design with less fairings or accents but nonetheless just as capable.  It still includes key features like quad LED projector headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights, and large, stylish wheels first revealed on the Pro 4X.

A second set of eyes

Unlike its competitors, the new Nissan Navara is also easy to drive every day. It comes with Nissan Intelligent Mobility features that keep an eye on traffic around you, capable of reacting to dangers you might have missed. One of these is the Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, which monitors the second vehicle ahead as well as the vehicle directly in front to reduce the risk of multi-car accidents. Intelligent Emergency Braking automatically activates  the brakes to avoid collisions, reducing the stress of driving in traffic or on busy streets.

For tight streets or parking spaces, a reverse camera helps drivers see the area behind the vehicle, making it easier to back up or to position the vehicle when hitching to a trailer. It also comes with Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control (VE 4×4).

Nissan Intelligent Mobility also looks out for the driver with the Driver Attention Alert feature. It cleverly monitors steering input patterns to check for signs of drowsiness. When it does, it suggests the driver take a brake with a coffee cup notification.

Civilized for the city

The Navara may be a rugged and reliable truck, but Nissan made sure it can also pamper when needed. Typical trucks are designed with stiff suspension to take a beating, but the Navara VE comes with rear multi-link suspension with dual-rate coil spring to offer a softer ride. These are paired with Zero-Gravity inspired front seats that boast of an ergonomic design to offer enduring comfort, even on long drives.

The cabin has been engineered to significantly decrease vibration and improved noise isolation. All the better to enjoy the in-car entertainment via its class-leading eight-inch high-resolution Nissan Advanced Display Audio unit equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to seamlessly connect a smart phone and favorite apps for navigation and entertainment. No need to reach over as the new leather-wrapped steering wheel  is fitted with hands-free audio and multi-information display controls. Finally, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning ensures you get that reputed Nissan cold air throughout the cabin.

Rugged for the outdoors

Despite all these improvements, the Navara also holds its own when it comes to truck duties. Its truck bed volume and capacity has been increased, letting it carry as much as 1-ton in payload, be it sacks of rice or leisure vehicles like an ATV. It’s supported by a strengthened rear axle with a rear differential lock. On steep inclines, even with a full load, Hill Start Assist ensures the vehicle doesn’t roll backward. A new integrated step in the rear bumper makes it easier access to the truck bed. The tailgate also comes with an assist feature to make closing it securely even easier; no more slamming.

Whatever is loaded, the Navara can haul it thanks to its 190 Ps maximum power output and immense 450 Nm of maximum torque. It comes mated to a seven-speed A/T for greater flexibility and reduced fuel consumption. It can also be had with a six-speed manual. Built-in Vehicle Dynamic Control with Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS), and Trailer Stability Assist also make the vehicle easy to keep under control, even with a full load or trailer.

Easy to make your own

Finally, the Nissan Navara VE comes with a five-year or 150,000-km vehicle warranty with only two PMS schedules a year. This ensures Navara buyers make the most of their investment and can spend more time on the road.

And if all this wasn’t enough, Nissan offers a wide array of customization packages that include headlamp and rear lamp finishers, fender and tailgate garnishes, protectors and accessories to cater to your unique needs and tastes.

The Nissan Navara VE is offered in a VE MT 4×4 (PhP1,499,000), VE Calibre MT 4×2 (PhP1,369,000), or VE Calibre AT 4×2 (PhP1,459,000).

All the improvements to the Navara make the vehicle uniquely suited to a variety of situations, be it the daily commute, travel, work, or leisure. With the new Navara VE, Nissan shows that there’s no need to compromise if you want technology, power, or comfort. This new variant offers it all at a price that reflects its value.
