PCG conducts first-ever port terminal security and law enforcement exercise in Calabarzon


Members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Cavite have conducted the first-ever port terminal security and law enforcement exercises in the whole area of Calabarzon (Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal).

The PCG Station Cavite members performed a bomb threat simulation exercise at Cavite Gateway Terminal in partnership with the Coast Guard K9 Force and local government unit of Tanza on Thursday, June 24.

The Coast Guard said the activity allowed members to enhance their capabilities and operational plans in carrying out explosive and search and rescue operations.

It added that the initiative was also to improve the armed service’s collaboration with the government agencies in dealing with critical situations that endanger the public safety.
