What fueled Marc Tagle's passion for cars?

"It's one thing to be successful and another thing to have great taste when it comes to cars,” that’s how Migs Bustos started Monday's episode of Kick-Start Coffee Brewed Awakening.

And what Bustos said is true. Rare is the opportunity when you are successful at something you have great taste. While most people think that being successful and having a great taste at something are two separate things, Marc Tagle, the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Tagle Group of Companies, proves that it can be done. You can be successful at doing something you're passionate about.

And being the president of Aston Martin Manila and McLaren Manila, Tagle's passion revolves around fast cars.

"Growing up, I was really exposed to cars because my grandfather, who was a chairman of our group of companies, really loved cars," Tagle revealed.

"So, I saw all kinds of cars, and he even would tell me stories when he was a teenager driving a two-door Mustang back in the day. I was always exposed to that environment. So, it was inevitable that one day, I would catch it (the love for cars). I think at an early age I remember borrowing his cars because when we were young, we don't have money. I would tell my grandfather (to borrow the cars) to brag off," he continued.

When was the first time Tagle got into cars?

"The first time I got into cars was when I lowered my mom's car. It's a Nissan Sentra,"

Tagle revealed that his mother got so mad, but eventually, he did get his mom's car. He even joked, "That's a tip for people who want to get cars from their parents. Do something to their car.”
