International social media darling Bretman Rock has recently featured on the cover of Nylon Manila's digital magazine issue this month.

In a series of Instagram stories, the Filipino-born influencer noted how "important" and "iconic" his stint with the magazine was.

"Obviously I'm from the Philippines and the cover is with Nylon Manila, and it's not all the time that you get to see an openly gay man on the cover of a magazine, especially back home in the Philippines," he said in the video. "So it's a big moment for me."

The Hawaiian-based artist said his photos are his "love letter" to "all gay, queer Filipino kids out there."

"Because I believe that we all deserve our own magazine cover," he said.

"I had all dialogue ready, but I cannot get through this video because every five seconds I'm going to say a word, and I'm going to cry," Bretman said.

Bretman uploaded some photos from the shoot on his social media accounts.

"This is for all the Baklas," he wrote as the caption. "Because we all deserve our own Nylon Covers. I worked on this with an entire team of Filipino creatives, from the Filipino banters behind the scene, the bibinka and jollibee we had for lunch and being on FaceTime with Manila the day- this project was as Filipino through and through."

Later, he also uploaded other snaps, then declaring: "Proud to be Moreno."
