Since social gatherings are prohibited due to the pandemic, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) Chamber Music Concert Series, which was first held on Oct. 30, 2020, is the orchestra’s online alternative in bringing classical music to the Filipino audience. The series also highlights the different instruments of the orchestra while performing music composed for small ensembles.
On June 25, 2021 (Friday), 8 p.m., streamed via the CCP and PPO Facebook Pages as well as the CCP YouTube Channel. This will be its sixth Chamber Music Concert.
Bassoon player Adolfo Mendoza and pianist Mary Anne Espina will play “Sonata for Bassoon and piano in G Major No.8 Opus 168” by Camille Saint-Saens together with “Andante and Rondo Ongrese, OP. 35” by Carl Maria Von Weber.
