Converge expands Luzon footprint

End-to-end fiber internet service provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. recently expanded its network in South, Central and North Luzon as part of its ‘Go Deep’ strategy.

The goal is to deepen its penetration in existing markets as well as reach untapped provinces, especially in North Luzon.

“We see a significant potential to further penetrate Luzon, where we have already covered 49% of households as of Q1 of 2021," explained Converge Chief Operating Officer Jesus Romero.

The company continues to rollout its fiber optic network to cover more cities and boost its customer service by adding manpower, communications channels, and service vehicles despite the pandemic.

"There are still areas there that are not well-served and we want to address these coverage gaps with our fiber technology," he noted.

The company has officially launched its high-speed fiber broadband services in key provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, and Cagayan in Q2 of 2021.

Subscribers here enjoy high speed boosts of up to 800 Mbps at their preferred set time, either Day or Night, with FiberX Time of Day plans.

Converge now offers a no deposit or advance payment and installment of 24 months for the installation fee for new subscribers.

Switchers from other internet service providers are offered with no cash out and 50% off on their monthly recurring charges for 6 months.

“We are expecting more subscriptions in the coming months as we launch in more locations in the second half of the year," says Romero.

The company continues to improve its customer experience as well.

To date, Converge has 53 business centers and 8 mobile business centers located and deployed nationwide.

It will open 12 new business centers in key cities of Luzon alone in the coming months, including Tuguegarao, Santiago, Vigan, and Laoag.

Converge also targets to deploy additional 10 mobile business centers in Luzon in the second half of the year.

“Converge is constantly looking for ways to help address customer concerns and improve the customer experience in every touch point,” noted John Paul Aguilar, Head of Business Center Operations.

“With these new business centers in full swing, we are able to deliver our promise to provide more Filipino homes with fast, reliable, and affordable broadband connection.”

The business centers address the needs of customers in business transactions including sales, account or service modification, bills payments, and technical concerns.

Converge is well on track with its objective to cover 55% of total households in the Philippines or around 15 million households by year 2025.
