Exciting veggie recipes on ‘Farm To Table’

This Sunday, Chef JR Royol shares how extra harvest can be maximized for consumption or additional profit. He demonstrates how cabbage can be pickled using Lacto-fermentation thus making Sauerkraut. He also shows us an Okonomiyaki-inspired recipe using cabbage –“Okoy na Repolyo.”

Taking advantage of the abundance of siling haba, being in season, he creates “Gintaang Sili,” inspired by Bicol Express. Chef JR gives a way to maximize the shelf life of Siling Haba through pickling or what Ilokanos call “Inartem.”

Our guest Chef, Mark Navarro is an advocate for foraging in your backyard. His focus is on finding ligaw na damo and learning how these can be re-grown in your garden. He shares recipes using his favorite foraged greens–“Ensalada ni Sir Chef” and “Binulong Hito sa Alibangbang.”
