QC gov’t breaks own record of single-day vaccination with 41,286 doses administered

The Quezon City government on Wednesday reported another record-breaking number of COVID-19 doses administered to its resident with 41,826 doses given to those belonging to the A1 to A5 categories, surpassing its own record of 37,234 doses given on Monday.

Quezon City also topped Manila as a city in the National Capital Region with the single-day highest number of doses administered. Manila’s June 22 record is at 35,572 doses.

Mayor Joy Belmonte lauded the city's speedy vaccination process which only took residents less than an hour to complete.

Currently, the local government said its vaccination program continues to expand with sites now located in 50 different areas in the city, including the SMART Araneta Coliseum, its largest vaccination site.

Other vaccination sites were established in schools, hospitals, malls, drive-thru, clubhouses, barangay halls, and even the city hall compound in partnerships with universities, private companies, malls, medical teams, and church organizations like the Diocese of Novaliches and Cubao.
