The Delta variant of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has continued to cause major concern among health authorities, even as favorable news about the forthcoming arrival of more vaccines have also been reported, providing contrasting developments in the country’s COVID-19 response.

President Duterte’s comment that he would have those who refuse to get themselves vaccinated against the COVID-19 arrested, has also drawn some reaction from different camps.

Finishing touches are being made on the interior of the majestic Manila Metropolitan Theater (MET) located on Padre Brugos Avenue corner Arroceros Street, or the Lawton area, in Manila, ahead of its June 23, 2021 soft opening after a long series of rehabilitation works.
