The City Health Office of Malolos, Bulacan has announced that four villages here are now COVID-free and that out of the total 3,987 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 3,483 patients have recovered.
Based on the data posted on Facebook by Malolos City health officials, the coastal barangays of Babatnin, Caliligawan, Masile, and Namayan are now free of COVID-19
Mayor Gilbert “Bebong” Gatchalian urged his constituents to always wear face masks and face shields, maintain social distancing, and avoid going out unnecessarily.
Gatchalian said vaccination is ongoing in the city and that as of June 7, the city government has administered 14,687 vaccines. On June 8, the city government received 821 vials of AstraZeneca and 10,642 Sinovac vials.
The city government is also prepared to buy its own vaccine supply once it gets permission from the national government.
Loyalty Cash Awards were also given to selected city government employees for completing at least ten years of continuous and satisfactory government service. They received P5, 000.00 in recognition of their service.
Six business establishments here were also given the Safety Seal Certificate and can now accommodate more than the 10 percent venue capacity.
