The Pfizer-BioNtech vaccines were immediately brought to the cold storage facility at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center.

The provincial government purchased last May 18 the Haier Biomedical Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer in preparation for the arrival of Pfizer vaccines that require storage with low temperature.

The DOH said one vial of the Pfizer vaccine is good for six individual doses. The 5,850 vials given to the province can be used by 30,100 vaccine recipients.

Last June 16, the Bulacan government also received 42,560 Sinovac vaccines and was able to inoculate 795 employees of the Provincial Government and non-government organization staff on June 16-18 at the provincial vaccination site. The remaining Sinovac vaccines will be administered to other priority groups for their first dose.

Fernando said the province has distributed 249,698 vaccines and administered a total of 208,195 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, 161,607 for the 1st dose, and 46,588 for the 2nd dose.
