A resident in Manila set up a community pantry offering coffee, tea, and a variety of pastries in celebration of Father’s Day.
“Happy Father’s Day po sa lahat ng tatay sa buong Barangay 186 at sa mga tatay sa buong mundo pati narin sa mga nanay na nagpapaka tatay para sa pamilya! (Happy Father’s Day to all fathers in Barangay 186 and to fathers around the world as well as to mothers who stand to be fathers for the family!),” Louise Loleng said in a Facebook post on Sunday, June 20.
Loleng, who is part of the Sangguniang Kabataan, baked the pastries of different flavors himself, accompanied with witty signages such as “Papa, tigil na alak” and “Huwag na mangabit para si nanay hindi magalit.”
He also advised those who will visit the community pantry to bring their own plates, wear face mask and face-shield, and to observe social distancing.
“Sana po natuwa at nasarapan kayo sa mga ni-bake ko. Mag-iingat po tayong lahat at Godbless (I hope you enjoyed my baked goods. Let us all be careful and Godbless)” Loleng said.
