PDEA collars two Nigerians, four others in Pampanga drug bust


Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested six alleged drug pushers including two Nigerian nationals who yielded P204,000 worth of suspected crystal meth (shabu) and other drugs in a buy-bust operation in Dau, Pampanga on Thursday night, June 17.

PDEA Director-General Wilkins Villanueva identified the suspects as Kingsly Anaelechi, 37, of Barangay Dau, Pampanga, and Nelson Okafor Jr., 25, of Barangay San Rafael, Tarlac City, both Nigerians; April Wright, 25; Eric Desuyo, 29; Norwin Carpio, 20; and Ralph Joseph Yalung, 25.

The suspects were caught inside an alleged drug den at Sitio Villa Teodora in Dau town.

Reports revealed that the PDEA-Pampanga operatives raided the drug den at around 11:30 p.m. after one of their undercover colleagues managed to buy 30 grams of suspected shabu from the Nigerians.

PDEA agents also seized from the suspects 30 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P3,600; high-grade kush marijuana valued at P2,000; and various drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
