New dad cares for newborn triplets after wife passed away

It has been two months since Joel Regal became a dad to three beautiful daughters, but it hasn't been a bed of roses for him and the whole family. On March 20, his wife April gave birth to triplets—all of who were in the Neonatal Intensive Unit Care while April was fighting for her life. "Please save my wife and my children," he prayed to God, posting photos of their babies in the NICU.

The next day, March 21, he posted that his wife had left their new family. "I love you so much, my wife, please guide your children and help me. This is so hard. It hurts my heart. My love, wherever you are now, your children and I love you very much." On the same day, he posted photos of their newborn triplets, "My children, you are my only strength. Your mother is gone. She will guide us. She is just beside you. You didn't see her. Your mother loves you so much. She will watch over you until you grow up. I love you wherever you are. Take care of us. Your children, we love you so much. I love you so much, my love."

What was supposed to be a new and exciting chapter for the couple became a tragic one, with Joel gathering the strength to live and work hard for their triplet's future. As if juggling work and parenthood isn't enough, taking care of triplets and making sure his late wife's funeral is also well taken cared of, Joel has been doing a great job being a father to his beautiful daughters. On March 27, he posted another update that his babies are now released from NICU and they are bringing them home, "Despite my sadness for the loss of my wife, blessings poured for my children. I am thankful to my relatives, friends, coworkers, classmates and especially to the people who don't know me," he continues. "Today, I will be able to take my children out of the hospital. I am also thankful to those who sent diapers and stuff for my children. And to those who are giving breast milk. Please continue to pray for the health of my children. God bless you all."

Going on their third month this coming weekend, Joel continues to be blessed with his immediate family who helps him take care of his babies, and donations from all over. Still, this doesn't mean he could sit back and relax. He's working very hard every day, going home in the wee hours of the morning.

He has also been fortunate to receive breastmilk from donors. In one of his more recent posts last June 12, "I'm finally home, tired and sleepless, but it's worth it. Father and babies have a lot of gifts. Oh, good for two weeks. Thank you very much to all who donated breast milk for my children. Thank you very much for the things you sent it.. to those who still want to donate breast milk just message me as long as I can I will go to you. Thank you. God bless you all."

"The plan that my wife and I expected didn't happen but God will provide in spite of everything." His dedicates his recent post, June 14, "My love, I know you're so happy because God still made a way so that I won't be discouraged, and I can work harder for our children. Thank you very much for the help you gave to me and my children. God bless you all."
