Angono Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon announced the temporary suspension of the vaccination after the supply ran out after the June 11 vaccination.

There have been a total of 6,022 residents who have been vaccinated since the vaccination roll out started a few months ago. Out of that figure, 4,082 residents got the first dose while 1,220 have been fully-vaccinated.

Calderon, in a Facebook post, said that out of the total number of vaccinated individuals, 154 are A4 (economic frontliners) and four are returning Overseas Filipino Workers.

There were seven individuals in the B5 category (returning OFWs) and one belonging to A4 category who got the AstraZeneca vaccines. The rest were either A1 (medical frontliners), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (adult with co-morbidity) who either got Sinovac or AstraZeneca.

There are still 6,766 residents who are still in the waiting list in the town’s vaccination program as of June 15. The local government aims to inoculate 80,000 residents to achieve herd immunity.

Alan Maniaol, municipal administrator told the Manila Bulletin, the vaccination may resume on Thursday, June 17, Thursday, at SM Center Angono as the Department of Health is reportedly scheduled to deliver 2,000 doses on Tuesday, June 15.

The municipal government has been appealing to residents who have pre-registered in the vaccination program to continue to be patient as the vaccine allocation for the municipality is not enough to cover all those who wish to be vaccinated.

As of June 14, there were 34 active cases out of the total 2,223 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the municipality.
