The Manila Cathedral posted a copy of the prayer on its Facebook page Sunday, June 13, weeks before the installation of Cardinal Jose F. Advincula as the 33rd Archbishop of Manila.

Advincula will be formally installed at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros on June 24.

The prayer which is in Filipino is as follows: “Panginoong Hesukristo, Mabuting Pastol at Dakilang Pari, pinupuri at pinasasalamatan ka namin sa pagtawag mo kay Cardinal Jose Advincula upang maglingkod bilang aming arsobispo.

Amen.”

The Manila Cathedral said the prayer will be recited in every Mass from June 15 to 23.

Last week, Archdiocese of Manila Apostolic Administrator Bishop Broderick Pabillo has called for a nine-day spiritual preparation in the archdiocese from June 15 to 23, in anticipation of Advincula’s installation.
