Trece Martires health workers get cash incentive for topping Chikiting Ligtas vax program

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite – The city health care workers received a cash incentive on Wednesday (June 9) as a reward for topping the Department of Health’s Measles-Rubella Oral Polio Vaccine Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR OPV SIA) or Chikiting Ligtas.

A total of 125 health workers, including Barangay Health Workers (BHW) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), received P3,000 from the local government unit.



The City Health Office recorded 17,920 residents vaccinated against polio and 15,146 individuals inoculated against measles and rubella under the initiative.



In a Facebook post, Mayor Gemma Buendia Lubigan said the city’s “health heroes” deserve the reward and recognition for their diligence and service to the community.
