PH logs 8,027 new cases of COVID-19


The Department of Health (DOH) logged 8,027 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases on Saturday, June 12.

The figure reported was the highest daily rise since May 28.

The country's COVID-19 tally climbed to 1,308,252. Of the total figure, 4.6 percent or 60,341 were active cases.

Of the current ill patients, 90.7 percent experienced mild symptoms, five percent was asymptomatic, 1.3 percent was critical cases, 1.7 percent have severe conditions, and 1.24 percent are moderate cases.

The DOH also confirmed 145 more deaths, bringing the death toll to 22,652.

It was also shown in the latest case bulletin that 8,940 more survivors were logged, raising the number of recoveries to 1,225,359.
