Eleazar orders filing of raps vs BAR police applicants for fake RT-PCT results

ELEAZAR
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police Gen. Guillermo Eleazar has ordered the arrest and filing of charges against Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) police applicants who falsified their RT-PCR test results in their application for entry into the police force.

Three police applicants at the Police Regional Office-Bangasamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) have been disqualified and are now facing dishonesty charges.

One of them was also discovered to be infected with COVID-19.

PNP HOPEFULS – Police applicants at the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region stand in attention as they are briefed on their application to be police patrolmen.
A report from the PNP said that nine of 66 applicants from Lanao del Sur have been cleared while 54 applicants are still under investigation.

The irregularity was discovered by Police Col. Nora Camarao, PNP Recruitment and Selection Service Unit head, when she visited PRO-BAR to check on the ongoing recruitment process.

Some of the applicants admitted to having submitted fake test results while others claimed not to know that the documents they were submitting were falsified.

“We will not give a second chance for this year’s recruitment to those who would dare bastardize our recruitment process,” said Eleazar, who launched the Comprehensive Online Recruitment Encrypting System (CORES) to erase the culture of corruption and "padrino" system characterizing the PNP recruitment system.

Eleazar has also directed an investigation of parties involved in the fake RT-PCR test results anomaly and ordered their arrest. This includes the medical facility which issued the fake results and the signatories in the documents.
