The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted emergency use authorization (EUA) for Sinopharm, the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine administered on President Duterte, even as vaccination of public utility drivers, vendors and other essential workers began at a brisk pace.

Duterte lashed at the New People’s Army (NPA) for the landmine killing of a promising football player in Masbate, and also raised concern over the amount of plastic waste being generated by the COVID-19 pandemic in his weekly Talk to the People on Monday night, June 7, 2021.
