Many Filipino fans are excited about the premiere of anime series "Trese" on Netflix. But it seems like not everyone is welcoming the Philippines's first-ever anime show on the streaming giant with open arms.

Days before its release, Netflix posted a series of images presenting billboards tarnished and spray-painted with statements such as, "Siyudad namin ito (This is our city)," all in big, fat, red, serial killer letters. Who could be the culprit behind this? We've got a hunch and it looks like Netflix confirms it.

Through a video, cameras all over Manila captured what seems to be supernatural sightings. Flying aswang, creepy engkanto, and lamang-lupa with menacing eyes were seen on the footage destroying the show's ad materials.

We definitely need Alexandra Trese if these terrifying incidents continue.

"Trese" is set to premiere on June 11, 2021. It is based on the cult-favorite graphic novel by Budjette Tan and KaJO Baldisimo of the same name. It features two ensemble of voice actors with Shay Mitchell and Liza Soberano leading them as they portray detective Alexandra Trese.
