Cherry celebrates with Pride

June is known as Pride Month and in light of this, it is pertinent to highlight inclusivity and diversity at the workplace. It is vital that everyone is given equal opportunities as they look for a job where they aspire to excel in.

At CHERRY, various professionals comprise the reliable workforce. According to Ronald Cangco or “Ivana” to her friends and workmates, a recently hired employee, her CHERRY family makes her feel safe. “I am accepted and loved, especially by my colleagues and superiors. I am happy working here as I can be the person I want to become.”

Nix Cruz, another employee, emphasizes how CHERRY has a positive working environment. “What I appreciate most is that I feel wholeheartedly embraced for all the things I contribute to the company.”

Meanwhile, Patrick Delos Santos shares his experience working at CHERRY for 3 years. “The fact that everyone supports you, keeps you motivated in doing the best that you could for the company. Because of this, I really look forward to growing here.”

Further, Joshua Jose Santiago reiterates the importance of a supportive management. “My bosses are very much accepting and welcoming to me by expressing their support on whatever endeavors I am doing. They did not hinder any actions of mine just because I am part of the Community nor control any event related to my career growth.”

When it comes to leadership, CHERRY is also said to be highly encouraging of its employees. “What I like most about working here is that I get to unleash my innermost potentials, including my leadership skills. I am given the opportunity to guide my colleagues and help them perform their duties better,” shares Marlon Bagusto.

“When searching for applicants, what matters to us are their competencies and skills. Of course, they should fit to the job requirement. It is also very important that they demonstrate integrity,” says Cindy Salazar, Head of HR and Admin, Cosmic Technologies Inc.

An ideal workplace is one that equally values their employees coming from all walks of life, ensures that it continues to be a safe space for everyone, and fosters harmonious relationship among employees.

“I am grateful to the management for all the learning experiences that they have given me through the years. It is always a pleasure working here,” says Naomi Bucoy, an employee for 15 years.

As stated by the 38th Vice President of the United States, Hubert Humphrey, “Equality means equality for all – no exceptions, no ‘yes, buts’, no asterisked footnotes imposing limits.” At the end of the day, there should be no room for judgment, only acknowledgement, and value for one another.
