Little Monsters, put your paws up!

Donatella Versace and Lady Gaga

Did you know it has been a decade since the release of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”? Yes, the album that spun anthems for the LGBTQIA+ Community turns 10 this year. While it’s been a decade, the message of the pop star’s music album still rings true to this day.

To celebrate the legacy of the beloved album, its creator, Lady Gaga, and Donatella Versace, the matriarch of the fashion label Versace, produce a line that is all about inclusivity and diversity, just like what “Born This Way” protests.

“Versace has always been a leader. Since Gianni, Donatella, Allegra, and still now, they have celebrated the beautiful colors of love we have within us,” Gaga posted.

The collection features shirts and berets bearing the song title and the house signature insignia, the iconic head of Medusa, both in rainbow colors. Another thing, Little Monsters, the Italian luxury brand is also auctioning a replica of the leather jacket Lady Gaga wore during her world tour.

Both the collection and auction will be in benefit of the Born This Way Foundation, a charity led by the pop star that is dedicated to mental health support for the youth, especially to those belonging to the LGBTQIA+ Community.

“This was a very exciting project for me. I love that ‘Born This Way’ celebrates individuality, inclusiveness, and everything to do with Pride,” Donatella said. “Gaga and her foundation are so inspiring. Our friendship and our efforts to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion have only become stronger with time.”
