Pasay City police nab high-value target, confiscate P378,080 worth of shabu


A 25 year-old-man listed in the police gallery as a high-value suspect was arrested during a buy bust operation conducted by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and confiscated from him sachets of shabu worth P378,080 early Sunday morning.

Pasay City police chief Col. Cesar Paday-os said the suspect, identified as Jayson Pal, a resident of 1772 Putuhan St., Barangay 46, Zone 6, Pasay City, was arrested at about 1:00 a.m.

Paday-os said members of the SDEU listed Pal in the police gallery as a high-value personality and conducted a buy-bust operation after receiving several complaints from his neighbors on his alleged illegal activity.

He said Pal was arrested after a police poseur- buyer was able to buy from the suspect one small heat transparent sachet containing shabu amounting to P500.

Paday-os said SDEU members led by M/Sgt. Jonathan Bayot was able to confiscate from the suspect four more sachets containing shabu weighing 55.6 grams with an estimated market value of P378,080 and other paraphernalia.

Aside from the illegal drug, SDEU members also confiscated from Pal one .9.mm pistol with five live ammunition.

Paday-os said the suspect was charged with illegal possession of drugs, firearm, and ammunition at the Pasay City Prosecutors Office.
