2 crime gang leaders, 2 drug suspects killed in Bulacan police operations


Four men, including a drug syndicate leader and a crime group head, were killed in simultaneous anti-criminality operations that began Friday midnight in Bulacan, police reported Saturday.

Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, said Ferdinand Urian alias "Loloy", tagged as leader of the “Serano Crime Gang”, of Barangay Libtong, Meycauayan, was killed when he allegedly shot it out with police operatives during a buy-bust in Barangay Sto. Cristo, Pulilan.

Recovered from Urian were 13 small plastic sachets of suspected shabu, a .38-caliber revolver, and three aluminum foil strips.

In Balagtas town, the alleged leader of “Paguia Drug Group”, identified as Percival Paguia alias “Joselito and Evan”, was shot dead also in a gunfight with anti-drugs operatives on Dalig Road in Barangay Santol, Balagtas, town.

Police said Paguia was included in the PNP-PDEA drug watch list.

Recovered from him were 12 sachets of suspected shabu, a .38-caliber revolver loaded with four bullets, the buy-bust money, a cardholder containing IDs, a digital weighing scale, a scissor, and a lighter.

In another police operation, one Jayson Hernandez of Baliuag was killed by police in Barangay Bagong Barrio, Pandi. Retrieved from him were 20 sachets of suspected shabu worth around P10,000, a.38-caliber revolver, P718 cash, and a cell phone.

According to police, a certain Mandy de Silva of Barangay Lias Saog, Marilao was shot dead when he fired a gun at lawmen manning a checkpoint in Barangay Paliwas, Obando, Bulacan early Friday morning.

Recovered from De Silva were 32 sachets of shabu, a .38-caliber Smith and Wesson revolver loaded with two bullets, a black backpack with assorted tools inside, a black pouch with IDs, and one Kawasaki Barako motorcycle without plate number.
